A Tabletop With Real Presence
Crafted from solid Suar, also known as Trembesi, this tabletop
displays broad grain patterns, warm natural tones and the depth
expected from genuine solid wood.
Each slab is flattened and finished with straight edges to create
a cleaner, more structured silhouette while retaining the natural
identity of the timber.
At approximately 5–6 cm thick, the tabletop delivers a noticeably
more substantial appearance than conventional solid-wood or
laminated work surfaces.
Grain direction, colour, knots and natural markings will differ
from one slab to another.
Built Around Natural Character
Suar offers a visually expressive surface for distinctive private
offices, executive workspaces and statement desk installations.
Genuine Solid Slab
Made from solid Suar wood rather than veneer, laminate or
engineered wood board.
Oven-Dried Timber
The timber undergoes a drying process to improve stability and
prepare it for furniture use.
5–6 cm Thickness
Its substantial profile creates a powerful visual presence and a
distinctly premium furniture character.
Flattened Surface
The upper surface is flattened and prepared to provide a
comfortable, practical working area.
Straight Edge Profile
Straight edges provide a cleaner outline that works naturally with
modern UDESK frames.
Matte Finish
A low-sheen finish helps the wood retain a natural appearance
without an overly glossy furniture surface.
Approximately 5–6 cm Thick
The thickness of the Suar slab is one of its most defining
characteristics. Its deep profile gives the completed desk a solid,
architectural appearance.
Because Suar is a natural material, minor thickness variation may
occur between individual pieces. The stated measurement should
therefore be understood as an approximate range.
This is a very heavy solid-wood tabletop. It must be matched with
a sufficiently strong dual-motor or multi-motor desk frame.
Choose Your Suar Finish
Both finishes retain the grain, tonal movement and natural identity
of the underlying wood.
Natural Suar
A lighter, warmer presentation that highlights the timber’s
organic tonal contrast and flowing grain.
Walnut Tone
A deeper, richer finish suited to executive offices and darker,
more sophisticated workspace arrangements.
Product photographs are representative only. Natural wood colour and
grain cannot be identical between separate slabs or production
batches.
Designed for Stronger UDESK Frames
Due to the substantial weight of the Suar slab, the selected frame
must provide sufficient lifting capacity and stability.

Recommended Frame Type
- Dual-motor UDESK frames
- Three-motor UDESK frames
- Four-motor UDESK frames
- Frame must suit the selected tabletop dimensions
- Final capacity depends on the selected frame model
×
Not Compatible
- Not compatible with single-motor UDESK frames
- Do not exceed the frame’s rated maximum load
- Tabletop weight must be included in load calculations
- Do not use a frame that is narrower than recommended
- Check compatibility before placing an order
The maximum supported load is determined by the selected UDESK
frame. The weight of the Suar tabletop forms part of the frame’s total
load and reduces the remaining capacity available for equipment.
No Pre-Drilled Mounting Holes
The underside is supplied without pre-drilled frame holes, allowing
the selected frame to be positioned according to the final setup.
Place the Top Safely
Lay the tabletop upside down on a clean, padded and stable surface.
Position the Frame
Centre the frame carefully while maintaining suitable clearance
around every edge.
Mark the Holes
Mark each mounting point only after confirming the frame is square
and correctly positioned.
Pre-Drill and Secure
Create appropriately sized pilot holes before installing the
recommended mounting screws.
Due to the tabletop’s considerable weight and thickness, installation
should be performed by experienced installers with enough people to
lift and turn the completed desk safely.
No Two Suar Slabs Are Identical
Individual variations are inherent characteristics of genuine solid
wood and help distinguish each completed tabletop.
Grain Variation
Grain direction, shape, density and contrast naturally differ
across every tabletop.
Colour Variation
Natural tones can vary between lighter and darker areas within the
same slab.
Knots and Markings
Knots, mineral lines and organic markings may remain visible after
the finishing process.
Filled Natural Voids
Selected natural gaps or voids may be stabilised or filled during
production where required.
Wood Movement
Minor expansion or contraction can occur as temperature and
humidity conditions change.
Minor Surface Change
Small changes or fine natural lines can develop as the wood adjusts
to its environment.
Natural grain variation, knots, colour differences, filled voids,
minor movement and small natural lines are expected characteristics
of solid Suar wood unless they materially affect normal product use.

Protecting Your Solid-Wood Surface
Clean Gently
Remove dust with a soft cloth. For light cleaning, use a slightly
damp cloth and dry the surface immediately.
Avoid Standing Liquid
Wipe spills promptly and do not allow water or other liquids to
remain on the surface.
Use Surface Protection
Use coasters, desk mats and suitable pads beneath hot, wet, sharp
or abrasive objects.
Avoid Harsh Cleaners
Do not use bleach, strong solvents or abrasive cleaning products on
the matte wood finish.
Control the Environment
Avoid placing the desk in persistent direct sunlight or beside
strong heat and excessive moisture sources.
Allow Natural Ageing
The tone and appearance of genuine wood may gradually develop as it
is exposed to normal use and environmental conditions.
Suar Slab Tabletop FAQ
Is every Suar tabletop identical?
No. Each tabletop has its own grain, colour distribution, knots
and natural markings. The product images should be treated as a
general reference rather than an exact pattern guarantee.
Is the thickness exactly 5 or 6 cm?
Thickness is approximately 5–6 cm. Small variations are possible
because every piece is prepared from natural solid wood.
Does it have a natural live edge?
This version is flattened and finished with straight edges for a
cleaner, more structured appearance.
Does the tabletop include pre-drilled holes?
No. The underside does not include pre-drilled mounting holes.
The installer must position the frame, mark the mounting points
and create suitable pilot holes.
Can I use it with a single-motor UDESK frame?
No. Due to the substantial weight of the slab, it is not
compatible with single-motor UDESK frames. Use a compatible
dual-motor or multi-motor frame.
How is the maximum load calculated?
Maximum load depends on the selected desk frame. The tabletop’s
own weight counts toward the frame’s rated total capacity, so the
remaining available capacity will be lower after installation.
Are knots or small natural lines considered defects?
Natural knots, grain variation, tonal differences, filled voids
and minor wood movement are normal characteristics of solid wood
and are not generally considered manufacturing defects.
Is the surface waterproof?
No. Solid wood should not be treated as waterproof. Spills should
be wiped up promptly, and standing liquid should be avoided.
Bring Natural Suar Into Your UDESK Setup
Pair the substantial 5–6 cm solid-wood slab with a compatible
dual-motor or multi-motor UDESK frame to create a distinctive,
long-term workspace.
