Made by Nature, Refined by Craftsmanship
The finger-joint pattern brings together carefully selected pieces
of solid teak to create a strong and visually distinctive work
surface. No two tabletops will have exactly the same grain, tone or
natural markings.
The result is a genuine solid-wood tabletop with a more consistent
structure and better use of premium timber resources.

Why Choose Finger-Jointed Solid Wood?
A practical balance of authentic timber, structural consistency,
visual character and long-term value.
Improved Dimensional Stability
Multiple carefully joined teak sections distribute natural wood
movement more evenly than a single broad piece of timber.
Reduced Warping Risk
Properly dried timber and segmented construction help reduce the
tendency for the complete tabletop to bend or twist.
Genuine Solid-Wood Feel
Unlike printed laminates, the surface retains the texture, warmth
and natural variation associated with real teak wood.
Distinctive Visual Pattern
The finger-joint arrangement creates a rhythmic wood pattern that
makes every tabletop visually individual.
Responsible Timber Usage
Smaller premium teak sections can be used efficiently, reducing
unnecessary material waste while retaining solid-wood quality.
Strong Everyday Value
A more accessible way to enjoy a premium teak workspace without
requiring a large single-piece live-edge slab.
Kiln-Dried for a More Reliable Workspace
Before construction, the teak wood undergoes a controlled drying
process. Reducing excess moisture helps improve stability and
prepares the timber for regular indoor use.
- Helps reduce excessive movement after production.
- Supports a more stable tabletop structure.
- Improves consistency before joining and finishing.
- Preserves the authentic texture and character of teak.
Matte Finish Without Hiding the Wood
The understated matte finish reduces excessive surface shine while
allowing the teak grain, joint pattern and tonal variations to remain
visible.
- Natural and sophisticated appearance.
- Comfortable visual finish for work environments.
- Complements modern, industrial and warm interior styles.
- Highlights rather than covers the character of the wood.
Natural Variation Is Part of Its Character
Genuine wood is not manufactured to look perfectly identical.
Variation is what gives every tabletop its own identity.
Unique Grain
Grain direction and pattern naturally differ between each joined
section and each finished tabletop.
Natural Colour Variation
Slight differences in tone, contrast and wood markings are normal
characteristics of genuine timber.
Responsive to Humidity
Solid wood can naturally expand or contract slightly as indoor
temperature and humidity conditions change.
Important Natural-Wood Notice
Differences in grain, colour tone, joint appearance, natural
markings and minor dimensional movement caused by humidity are
normal characteristics of solid wood. These characteristics are
not considered manufacturing defects.
Two Timeless Wood Finishes
Select the tone that best complements your UDESK frame and interior.
Natural
A lighter, warmer presentation that highlights the original teak
tone and grain variation.
Walnut
A richer and deeper wood tone suited to executive, industrial
and darker workspace themes.
Square or Rounded Corners
Both selections retain a straight outer edge. The difference is the
corner radius and overall visual character.
Square Corners
A clean, structured profile with a sharper architectural
appearance—ideal for minimalist and professional workspaces.
Rounded Corners
A softer visual profile with rounded corner transitions—well suited
to home offices and contemporary interiors.
Compatible with All UDESK Frames
Because mounting holes are not pre-drilled, the frame can be
positioned according to the tabletop size and intended configuration.
UDESK Frame Compatibility
Always select a tabletop size that falls within the supported
dimensions of the chosen frame.

liquid to remain on the surface.

materials.
Maintain Stable Conditions
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, excessive moisture and sudden
indoor humidity changes where possible.
Finger Joint Solid Wood Tabletop FAQ
Is this tabletop made from real solid wood?
Yes. It is constructed from individual pieces of solid teak wood
joined together using a finger-joint structure.
Is finger-jointed wood the same as laminated MDF?
No. MDF is an engineered fibreboard material. This tabletop is
made from joined sections of genuine solid teak.
Does the tabletop have pre-drilled mounting holes?
No. The tabletop is supplied without universal pre-drilled frame
mounting holes. The frame should be positioned first, followed by
marking and drilling the required mounting points.
Which UDESK frame is compatible?
It can be installed with all UDESK frames, provided that the
selected tabletop size is suitable for the supported dimensions
of the chosen frame.
How much weight can the tabletop support?
The usable load capacity follows the rating of the paired desk
frame. The weight of the tabletop, accessories and equipment
should be considered within that frame rating.
Will every tabletop look exactly like the photos?
No. Genuine teak naturally differs in grain, colour, markings and
joint pattern. Every finished tabletop will therefore have an
individual appearance.
Can solid wood expand or contract?
Yes. Minor natural expansion or contraction can occur as
temperature and humidity change. This is a normal characteristic
of solid wood and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
What is the difference between Natural and Walnut?
Natural highlights the lighter original warmth of teak, while
Walnut provides a deeper and richer wood-tone appearance.
What is the difference between square and rounded?
Both options retain straight tabletop edges. The square option
has a sharper corner profile, while the rounded option has softer
corner transitions.
